We offer residential / care home / dementia home and hospice visits from our tiny miniature American horse Hennessy. We have visited many local homes and seeing the positive impact he has on the elderly, sick and disabled is priceless. It is so nice to see what joy he brings, we have seen many happy tears, he brightens everyone’s day, even the staff like a selfie with him!
Henny wears special boots (to protect the floor and prevent him from slipping) and an equine nappy (so there will be no mess on the floor, it’s also more hygienic if he happens to poo), which means he can safely go inside to meet the elderly, and even the bed bound. Henny is also happy to go inside lifts and can maneuver around beds easily as he is so small.
Prices for visits are £150 for then hour. Each additional hour thereafter will cost £60. We only offer visits from 1st April through to 1st November, during the Winter months I give Henny time off for a well deserved rest.
Henny’s welfare is of the upmost importance, we will not be able to travel to distances that are over 45 minutes from our base Shorne.
Special needs adults and children are also something little Henny is very used to. We also offer SEN school visits too!
